Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: April 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of GameReady Kid's website, services, and coaching sessions (collectively, the "Services"). By purchasing, scheduling, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1) Who We Are
GameReady Kid provides game-based life-skill coaching for youth. Sessions take place inside games kids already play and may include structured coaching, skill challenges, reflection, and parent-friendly progress summaries. GameReady Kid is not traditional gameplay coaching (rank/aim mechanics); the focus is real-life skill growth (focus, emotional control, communication, teamwork, confidence, and decision-making).
2) Definitions
- "Parent/Guardian," "You": the adult who purchases and manages the child's participation.
- "Child," "Participant": the minor receiving coaching.
- "Coach": a GameReady Kid contractor or employee delivering sessions.
- "Session": a scheduled coaching session (often 45–50 minutes, unless otherwise stated).
- "Platform": video/audio tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet) and the game(s) used for coaching.
3) Eligibility & Parent/Guardian Consent
- Adults only for purchase. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase Services.
- You represent authority. By enrolling a child, you confirm you are the child's parent/legal guardian or have permission from a parent/legal guardian to enroll and agree to these Terms.
- Accurate information. You agree to provide accurate contact, billing, and child-related information needed to deliver Services safely and effectively.
4) What GameReady Kid Is (and Is Not)
A. Coaching, Not Medical Care
GameReady Kid provides coaching and skill development support. We are not a medical, mental health, or healthcare provider. Our Services are not: therapy or counseling, psychological evaluation, diagnosis or treatment of any condition, crisis intervention, or medical advice.
If your child has a diagnosis, behavioral plan, IEP/504, safety plan, or clinical needs, you should consult qualified professionals. You may still use GameReady Kid, but you must inform us of any important considerations that affect session safety.
B. No Guaranteed Outcomes
Every child is different. We do not guarantee specific outcomes, rankings, behavioral changes, grades, or performance improvements. We aim to provide structured practice, coaching, and feedback, but results vary based on consistency, child readiness, and home support.
5) Program Format & Deliverables
Your plan may include some or all of the following (depending on what you purchase):
- Live coaching sessions
- Skill focus themes (e.g., focus, emotional regulation, teamwork)
- Parent summaries (quick "micro-reports")
- Progress updates (weekly/monthly where offered)
- A gamified level/points system tied to life skills (where offered)
We may adjust the session structure, curriculum, or delivery method over time to improve quality, safety, and clarity.
6) Safety, Behavior, and Fit
A. Parent/Guardian Presence
Unless GameReady Kid states otherwise in writing, a parent or legal guardian must remain reachable and may be required to remain present for the full session or portions of the session. GameReady Kid does not provide unsupervised private coaching access to minors outside the program structure.
B. Safe Participation
You agree to help ensure your child can participate safely by: providing a quiet/safe space when possible, ensuring the child uses appropriate hardware and an internet connection, ensuring the child follows basic online safety norms, and remaining reachable during the session (and available to join if needed).
C. Behavioral Expectations
GameReady Kid is designed to be supportive, but we require baseline respect and safety. The following are not allowed: harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying, sexual content, or discriminatory behavior; doxxing or sharing personal information about others; encouraging self-harm or harm to others; cheating/scamming, illegal activity, or platform policy violations.
If a child repeatedly violates these expectations, we may pause or end sessions, require parent attendance, change coaches, or terminate services.
D. High-Risk Situations
If your child expresses intent to harm themselves or others, or discloses abuse, we may: end the session immediately, contact the Parent/Guardian, and/or contact appropriate emergency services when required for safety. GameReady Kid is not an emergency service. If you believe your child is at risk, call local emergency services immediately.
7) Technology, Games, and Third-Party Platforms
A. Your Responsibility for Accounts & Equipment
You are responsible for: purchasing/maintaining the game(s) (if needed), complying with the game publisher's terms, having a valid account/subscription (if applicable), and providing the device(s), controller(s), headset, and stable internet.
B. Third-Party Services
Sessions may use third-party platforms (e.g., Zoom/Google Meet, game publishers, voice chat tools). GameReady Kid does not control these platforms and is not responsible for outages, bans, policy changes, or technical limitations caused by third parties.
C. Platform Rules
You agree your child will follow: GameReady Kid session rules, the game publisher's rules, and any applicable community guidelines. If a platform bans an account, we are not responsible for lost time, lost purchases, or inability to participate.
8) Session Recording, Transcripts, and AI Tools
To provide coaching quality, summaries, and progress updates, GameReady Kid may use tools such as session notes, transcription, and summarization.
A. Consent
By using the Services, you consent to the following unless you opt out in writing (where permitted by law and where feasible operationally): Audio recording for coaching notes and parent summaries, Transcription (human or automated), and AI-assisted summarization to produce recaps or progress notes.
B. How We Use This Information
We use recordings/transcripts primarily to: improve coaching quality and consistency, create parent-friendly summaries, and track skill progress.
C. Opt-Out (When Possible)
If you want to request "no recording" or "no transcription," contact us before the first session. Some features (like written summaries) may be limited without transcripts.
9) Scheduling, Attendance, Rescheduling
A. Scheduling
Sessions are scheduled in advance. You agree to arrive on time and ensure the child is ready (logged in, updated, headset working).
B. Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, the session may still end at the scheduled time to respect other clients. Coaches are not required to extend sessions for late arrivals.
C. Rescheduling
- Reschedule with 24+ hours' notice: no fee, subject to availability.
- Reschedule with less than 24 hours' notice: may be treated as a late cancellation.
- No-shows: may be forfeited.
D. Coach Emergencies
If a coach is unavailable due to illness or emergencies, we will reschedule as soon as possible or provide a make-up option.
10) Payments, Trial, Enrollment, and Billing
A. Program Model
GameReady Kid may offer families a limited-capacity enrollment model that includes:
- An initial trial period, which may include a 2-week free trial
- A monthly coaching subscription, currently $99/month unless otherwise stated in writing
- A requirement to keep a valid payment method / card on file
- A GameReady Kid co-investment of $100 in resources and support for the child's growth, where offered
Program details may vary by family, promotion, or test offer, and the specific terms presented at signup, checkout, or written confirmation will control.
B. Trial Period
Where offered, the 2-week free trial is intended to help both the family and GameReady Kid determine whether the program is a strong fit. Trial access does not guarantee ongoing enrollment.
GameReady Kid may limit, decline, or discontinue trial participation if we determine the program is not a fit, if safety or behavioral issues arise, or if required program conditions are not met.
C. Card on File Requirement
To participate in the trial or ongoing program, families may be required to maintain a valid payment method on file. By enrolling, you authorize GameReady Kid to store and charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees and any other agreed charges, subject to these Terms and any signup disclosures.
If your payment method fails or becomes invalid, we may pause or discontinue Services until payment information is updated.
D. Monthly Subscription
If your family continues after the trial, you authorize recurring billing at the stated monthly rate, currently $99/month unless otherwise stated in writing, until canceled in accordance with these Terms.
E. $100 Co-Investment
Where offered, GameReady Kid may provide a $100 co-investment in resources, support, or program-related needs to help the child participate and grow in the program.
This co-investment:
- Is not compensation for attending one session
- Is not earned simply by booking or showing up
- Is only available to families who enroll in and participate in the program
- May be conditioned on maintaining an active subscription, card on file, and compliance with program requirements
- May be provided in one or more installments, at GameReady Kid's discretion, consistent with the offer presented to the family
GameReady Kid reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue this co-investment offer for future families at any time. Any specific co-investment terms shared with your family at enrollment will govern your participation in that offer.
F. Limited Capacity / Acceptance
Because GameReady Kid operates with limited coaching capacity, submitting a form, booking a call, or participating in a trial does not guarantee ongoing enrollment. We may prioritize families based on fit, readiness, safety, scheduling availability, and program capacity.
Participation in an introductory session, trial, application, or booking process does not guarantee acceptance into the ongoing program. GameReady Kid may determine, in its sole discretion, whether the program is an appropriate fit for the child and family.
11) Cancellations, Trial Completion, and Refunds
Because coaching time is reserved and staffing is planned, refunds are limited.
- Trial period: If your family participates in a free trial, GameReady Kid may decide whether to invite your family into the ongoing program based on fit, safety, participation, and capacity.
- Monthly plans: You may cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle unless otherwise stated in writing.
- Unused sessions: Unused sessions may expire at the end of the billing cycle unless your plan specifically includes rollover.
- Refunds: Except where required by law, refunds are generally not provided for unused time, missed sessions, partial months, or failure to continue after the trial.
- Co-investment offer: If a family does not enroll in or continue with the program, GameReady Kid is not obligated to provide any unpaid portion of a co-investment offer.
12) Communication (Email/SMS)
You may receive communications related to scheduling, reminders, receipts, progress updates, and service changes via email and/or SMS. You can opt out of marketing messages, but service-related messages may still be sent when necessary to deliver Services.
13) Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate Services immediately if: there is unsafe behavior (threats, harassment, sexual content, hate speech), repeated disruption that prevents coaching, repeated violations of platform rules, non-payment, fraud or misuse, or we believe continued participation is unsafe or not a fit.
When possible, we'll try to resolve issues first (e.g., parent join requirement, different coach, adjusted game choice).
14) Intellectual Property
A. Our Materials
All GameReady Kid materials—curriculum concepts, session formats, scoring methods, written reports, and branding—are owned by GameReady Kid or licensed to us. You may not copy, sell, publish, or redistribute our materials without written permission.
B. Limited License for Your Family
We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the materials for personal, family use only.
15) User Content & Permission to Use Feedback
A. User Content
If you submit feedback, testimonials, or messages, you grant GameReady Kid permission to use them to improve Services. If we want to use a child's name, identifiable likeness, or identifiable quote in marketing, we should request separate written consent.
16) Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law: Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not responsible for technical issues on your side (hardware, internet, console/PC updates) or third-party platform issues.
17) Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GameReady Kid and its coaches will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of access to third-party platforms.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to GameReady Kid in the 30 days before the event giving rise to the claim (or the minimum amount allowed by law in your jurisdiction).
18) Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify GameReady Kid (and its coaches/affiliates) from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from: your child's misuse of platforms, violation of these Terms, violation of third-party policies, or unlawful behavior, harassment, or harm caused to others during sessions or on platforms we use.
19) Dispute Resolution
A. Informal Resolution First
Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and try to resolve the issue informally.
B. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.
20) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
